As a resident of Shimamoto, I believe that spring is the best season to come. Along the Minase River bank, there are rows of cherry trees, and when they bloom, the riverside transforms into a beautiful flower path that stretches for about 500 meters.
Both of the two popular shrines in Shimamoto, Minase-Jingu and Wakayama Shrine, also boast beautiful cherry trees that delight visitors' eyes.
Last Sunday, I took a walk along the Minase River, but it seems like we need to wait one more week for full bloom. Nonetheless, I did manage to find some blossoms. So I went a little further to Yodogawa River Park (Sewari-Tei), which is famous for its breathtaking cherry blossom canopy of pink and white. However, it was still a little bit too early to fully enjoy their beauty.
But they only need a couple of days to bloom fully. As soon as I can take pictures of them, I'll be back to upload the photos, so please don't miss them!
